The HSS Operator-Carbide will be setting up profiling grinders to evaluate, modify, sharpen, and inspect cutting tools according to established compliance standards.
Know how to operate profiling grinders and other types: facing, cutter & grinder, Wagner,and Göckel.
Read and interpret reading plans and technical drawings.
Prepare setups based on the type of tooling.
Modify, sharpen, and reprofile carbide, high-speed steel, and tantung tools.
Evaluate and identify appropriate repairs.
Inspect and ensure standard compliance.
Perform preventive maintenance on grinders.
Prerequisites:
Positive knowledge of blueprint reading, technical drawings, and manual dexterity.
Positive command of measuring instruments.
Conscientious, resourceful, and attention to detail and precision.
Experiencein machining or similar, an asset.
Conditions
Unionized position, full time.
