Step into a leadership role as Supervisor for the Forestry and Natural Heritage Program at the Region of Waterloo. Drive sustainability and community engagement in forest management. In this full-time supervisory position, you will provide strategic oversight and lead a dedicated team managing 17 Regional Forests.

You will ensure compliance with the Woodland Conservation By-law while engaging with community stakeholders and promoting ecological health. The role involves balancing operational responsibilities with long-term sustainability goals. Key Responsibilities:

- Lead development of forestry and conservation management plans
- Assign and monitor work for natural heritage staff
- Manage implementation of the Woodland Conservation By-law




- Foster relationships with First Nations for cooperative initiatives
- Communicate with the public on forestry issues Requirements:
- Degree in forestry, ecology, or environmental science
- Must hold or be eligible for RPF in Ontario
- Experience in woodland conservation and natural resource management
- Proven leadership skills within a public sector context
- Understanding of municipal legislation and policy frameworks Utilize your extensive expertise to enhance the Region of Waterloo's forestry and natural heritage initiatives.
