Annual Rate: $68,000 to $75,000 per annum

About Us:
Reconnect Health Services is a not-for-profit health service organization in the west end of Toronto. Our services include supports for seniors, caregivers, and people living with mental health and addictions concerns. We pride ourselves on being at the forefront of client-centred care in our sector.
The Supervisor is responsible for the coordination and delivery of assigned Reconnect programs and services in a professional manner and according to established guidelines and associated benchmarks, through executing directives, coordinating; administering and monitoring daily activities, and the provision of staff supervision and support.
What You'll Do:
You will be entrusted with a wide range of responsibilities, including:
- Work with the manager to ensure that the assigned Reconnect programs meet established objectives and standards, including intakes, discharges, waitlist reduction and quality assurance;
- Assist in directing the day-to-day clinical operations of the team, in consultation with the Program Manager,
including assigning shift responsibilities and duties to staff, ensuring appropriate coverage for the day, evening, weekend and holiday shifts and on-call hours, reviewing and approving time sheets.
- Lead team meetings and other inter-team meetings as scheduled;
- Delegate staff work assignments and orientation, and communicates job expectations in consultation with the Program Manager;
- Supervise employee performance including conducting performance audits and provides input to the Program Manager for annual performance reviews and evaluations, as well as performance management plans, corrective action and progressive discipline;
- Work with the Program Manager in determining staffing needs, recruitment, selecting, orienting and training staff;
- Coach staff, provides feedback, and models alternative treatment/service approaches;
- Liaise with allied service providers, as required;
- Other responsibilities may be assigned by the manager.
What We're Looking For: To thrive in this exciting role, we seek candidates with:
- Completion of relevant post-secondary education in social sciences and/or human services
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in progressively responsible positions within the community health environment, particularly a mental health environment;
- Familiar with relevant legislation (e.g., Mental Health Act, Personal Health Information (PHIPA),
- Able to identify and understand key issues and overcome challenges or obstacles in a creative, organized and coordinated manner,
- Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy,
- High level of integrity, confidentially, and accountability,
- Sound coordination, prioritization, and execution skills,
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written,
- Knowledge of and sensitivity to gender, race, sexual orientation, age and multicultural issues.
Special Requirements:
- Criminal background check;
- Must be willing to work flexible schedule including weekends, evenings and statutory holidays as required;
- Must be willing to participate in an on-call rotation, if required.
