Position Summary The Senior Supply Chain Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, strategy, and execution of all supply chain activities across Hansen Industries and Overlanders Manufacturing. This role will oversee purchasing, inventory management, supplier management, subcontracting operations, material planning, logistics, and supply chain optimization.
The successful candidate will lead a team of supply chain and purchasing professionals across both organizations, ensuring material availability, inventory accuracy, supplier performance, and cost competitiveness while supporting business growth, customer delivery requirements, and operational excellence.
This position plays a key role in developing strategic supplier partnerships, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and optimizing total supply chain costs across both businesses.
Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain Leadership
- Develop and execute a unified supply chain strategy for Hansen Industries and Overlanders Manufacturing.
- Lead and manage all purchasing, supply chain, inventory control, materials management, and subcontracting activities across both businesses.
- Build, mentor, and develop high-performing supply chain teams.
- Establish supply chain KPIs and monitor performance against operational and financial targets.
- Drive a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.
Strategic Sourcing & Purchasing
- Develop sourcing strategies that ensure reliable supply, competitive pricing, and long-term supplier relationships.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms, and supply agreements with key suppliers.
- Identify opportunities for supplier consolidation and strategic sourcing initiatives.
- Lead supplier selection, qualification, and performance management processes.
- Develop contingency plans to mitigate material shortages and supply chain disruptions.
Inventory Management
- Establish inventory strategies that balance customer service levels with inventory investment.
- Monitor inventory turns, excess inventory, stockouts, and working capital performance.
- Implement inventory control processes and system improvements to improve accuracy and visibility.
- Drive cycle count and inventory accuracy programs across both facilities.
Materials Planning & Logistics
- Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials to support production schedules and customer commitments.
- Coordinate forecasting, demand planning, and material replenishment activities.
- Optimize inbound and outbound logistics operations.
- Develop processes to improve material flow and reduce lead times.
Subcontracting & External Processing
- Manage all subcontracting and outsourced manufacturing activities.
- Develop strategic relationships with subcontractors and external processing vendors.
- Monitor subcontractor performance related to, delivery, responsiveness, and cost.
- Identify opportunities to optimize internal versus outsourced manufacturing decisions.
Cost Optimization
- Lead cost-reduction initiatives across materials, logistics, inventory, and subcontracting activities.
- Identify and implement procurement savings opportunities without compromising quality or delivery.
- Analyze spend patterns and develop strategies to improve total cost of ownership.
- Support quoting and estimating teams by providing accurate market intelligence and material cost forecasts.
ERP & Process Improvement
- Drive continuous improvement of ERP processes, reporting, and supply chain data accuracy.
- Develop dashboards and performance metrics to support decision-making.
- Standardize supply chain processes across Hansen and Overlanders.
- Lead supply chain transformation projects and automation initiatives.
Risk Management
- Identify supply chain risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Develop alternate sourcing strategies for critical materials.
- Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supplier capacity constraints.
- Lead business continuity planning related to the supply chain.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Operations, Production, Engineering, Quality, Finance, Sales, and Estimating teams.
- Participate in S&OP; (Sales and Operations Planning) activities.
- Support capacity planning and growth initiatives.
- Ensure supply chain decisions align with overall business objectives.

Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field.
- MBA preferred.
- Professional designation such as SCMP, CSCP, CPSM, or equivalent is considered an asset.
Experience
- 10+ years of progressive supply chain and procurement experience.
- 5+ years in a senior leadership role managing multi-site operations.
- Manufacturing experience required; metal fabrication, industrial manufacturing, or custom production environments strongly preferred.
- Experience managing purchasing, inventory, logistics, and subcontracting functions.
- Strong supplier negotiation and contract management experience.
- Experience implementing ERP and process improvement initiatives.

Success in This Role Within the first 12 months, the Senior Supply Chain Manager will be expected to:

Pay: $90,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
