Join MKO as a Gladue Pathways Support Navigator in Manitoba. Work collaboratively with Indigenous communities to prepare supportive reports for those facing the criminal justice system. This full time term role requires dedicated professionals passionate about cultural safety and restorative justice.
Engage with individuals to identify underlying factors related to their justice involvement while developing healing and wellness plans tailored to their unique experiences. Collaborate closely with First Nations, Elders, and community organizations to ensure culturally-grounded approaches throughout. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify systemic factors affecting individuals
- Support sharing of stories in a healing-centered environment
- Coordinate community resources for mental health, education, and housing
- Draft Gladue Reports for judicial purposes
- Ensure alignment with restorative justice principles in planning Requirements:
- Relevant post-secondary education or equivalent experience
- Experience in justice programs and restorative practices
- Knowledge of Indigenous cultures and histories
- Ability to deliver trauma-informed service
- Excellent interpersonal relationships and communication skills Empower Indigenous communities toward healing and reintegration as a Gladue Pathways Navigator.
