Community Living Alternative Services (CLAS) is committed to championing the development and wellbeing of individuals who have developmental disabilities, strengthening positive relationships between individuals and their community, and promoting inclusive living.

We are looking for a highly motivated and committed leader to join our Supported Living team as a full-time, permanent Supported Living Coordinator in Calgary, Alberta. This is not an entry-level position, and a leadership background is expected.

Position Summary:The Supported Living Coordinator is responsible for the development of funding proposals and service plans, the recruitment and onboarding of subcontractors, and the ongoing monitoring of supports as outlined in service proposals. This position includes supporting a caseload, portions of which reside in rural areas, requiring travel outside the city to communities such as High River and Longview. A Vehicle use budget will be offered as additional remuneration.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Prepare comprehensive Individualized Service Plans and proposals for submission to Persons with Developmental Disabilities (PDD).
- Recruit and on-board Subcontractors and Outreach Workers appropriate for the needs of the Individual being served.
- Ensure on an ongoing basis that the supports identified in the Individual Service Plans (ISP) are being provided.
- Build and maintain relationships with individuals in the Coordinator’s caseload.
- Facilitate training for employees and subcontractors as needed.
- Ensure that policies, processes, and procedures are in place and operating effectively.
- Provide leadership and support to Monitors (If applicable), Subcontractors and Outreach Workers to facilitate effective service delivery.
- Aid in program development and implementation.




- Participate in the community to encourage and support community options.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders regarding the needs of individuals accessing services, file upkeep, and any other projects as needed.
- As part of a rotating responsibility, take part in after hours on-call telephone support for subcontractors. Lieu time is provided to offset the rare interruptions to personal time in these cases.

You will bring:

- A diploma or degree in the Humanities such as social services, community rehabilitation, disability studies, or a related field would be considered a preferred asset.
- Minimum of two years’ experience providing supports to people with developmental disabilities and/or other health-related issues such as addictions and mental health challenges.
- Managerial, supervisory, or full-time administrative experience of 1 year or more. We are ideally seeking an established leadership background with a proven history of supervising groups, developing and delivering training and performance feedback, driving ethics and accountability, and relationship building.
- Experience aiding in program development and implementation.
- Case management experience is preferred.
- A positive attitude and belief that persons with disabilities have the right and responsibility to define and pursue their life choices and have active involvement in their community.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal,



and written communication skills with strong computer/software skills.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.

Hours: The standard work week is 40 hours per week, which typically runs from Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. However, the incumbent must be willing and able to flex their schedule in the event of program and/or service changes, or if there is an emergency.

Other:

- Must have a reliable car, a driver’s licence issued in Canada, a willingness to use your personal vehicle for work purposes, and third-party liability insurance with a minimum coverage of two million dollars ($2,000,000.00).
- Travel outside the city to communities such as High River and Longview in order to manage a dedicated caseload will be required.
- The successful candidate will need to produce satisfactory Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sectors search results.

Pay: $66,000.00-$72,400.00 per year
