Tasks: Conduct initial dental assessments. Consult with dentists on patient care. Supervise dental assistants in their health care functions. Instruct patients regarding oral hygiene. Apply fluoride treatment. Take, develop and mount X-rays.
Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses: Dental Hygienists Licensure by the appropriate provincial or territorial governing body.
Security and safety: Criminal record check. Driver's validity licence check.
Work conditions and physical capabilities: Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Attention to detail.
