10-Month Contract – Swamper & 5-Ton Driver

Schedule: Monday to Friday, Full-Time

We are looking for serious, reliable, and hardworking candidates to join our team for a 10-month project supporting the Royal BC Museum.

We are hiring for two positions:

· Helper / Warehouse & Moving Support: $26/hour

· 5-Ton Driver: $30/hour

This is a hands-on position involving the preparation, handling, loading, unloading, and transportation of pallets and various museum-related items, including boxes, cabinets, equipment, and other materials.

Main Responsibilities

· Prepare and organize pallets for transportation

· Load and unload pallets and various items

· Safely move and position boxes, cabinets, equipment, and other materials

· Use a pallet jack and other basic material-handling equipment

· Follow detailed instructions and established procedures

· Work closely with the team to complete daily tasks efficiently

· Ensure items are handled carefully and safely

· Keep work areas organized and clean

· Assist with securing and preparing loads for transportation

· Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors

· Perform other general moving and warehouse duties as required

Requirements – All Candidates

· Serious and reliable candidates only

· Able to work Monday to Friday, full-time

· Must be dependable and punctual

· Must be comfortable working as part of a team

· Able to follow directions carefully and consistently

· Valuable communication skills

· Strong attention to detail





· Physically capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, and moving materials as required

· Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment

· Able to safely use a pallet jack

· Good attitude and solid work ethic

· Must have no criminal record

· Previous warehouse, moving, logistics, or material-handling experience is an asset

Additional Requirements – 5-Ton Driver

· Minimum 2 years of experience driving a 5-ton truck

· Valid driver's licence appropriate for the vehicle

· Clean and safe driving history

· Comfortable driving in different traffic and weather conditions

· Experience loading, securing, transporting, and unloading materials

· Strong awareness of vehicle and load safety

· Able to complete basic vehicle inspections

· Able to work with the helper and other team members to safely complete deliveries and pickups

· Professional and respectful communication with clients, site staff, and team members

What We Are Looking For The ideal candidates are dependable, physically capable, safety-conscious, and team-oriented. You must be comfortable taking direction, working carefully around valuable items, and completing tasks properly rather than rushing through them.

This is a 10-month contract with full-time hours, Monday to Friday, and we are looking for people who are committed to the full duration of the project.
