Teaching Assistant, Plant Sciences, PLSC 205

In the appointment of Teaching Assistant, your general duties and responsibilities will be:

Preparing, delivering and/or attending lectures; demonstrating, marking, student consulting, invigilating, holding office hours, setting up experiments, supervising field trips and conferring with the supervisor in charge as required by the assignment.

Your primary work location will be the Agriculture Building, with occasional field or industry visits as required. You will report to Farzad Jaliliantabar.

Required Number of Hours: 25 hours during the academic term

Duration of Employment: 2026-2027 Fall session

Start and End Dates: September 1 to December 23, 2026

Qualifications (Skills and Abilities)

Knowledge of farm machinery, agricultural equipment, and basic mechanical principles is preferred. Previous teaching assistant or instructional experience is an asset.
