POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Team Lead to oversee production operations at our Golden Dawn butter facility. The Team Lead will ensure smooth daily production, maintain quality standards, lead the closing shift team, and support facility maintenance and sanitation. This is a leadership role that combines operational oversight with direct production involvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Production Leadership & Oversight

- Oversee daily butter production operations to ensure targets are met and efficiency standards are maintained
- Monitor production workflow, equipment performance, and resource allocation
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions in real-time
- Maintain clear communication with production staff regarding priorities and expectations
- Support quality assurance protocols and ensure compliance with food safety standards (HACCP)

Hands-On Production Support

- Actively participate in production work as needed to support team members and ensure flow
- Assist with equipment setup, adjustments, and changeovers
- Help train and mentor production staff on best practices and procedures
- Ensure product specifications and quality targets are consistently met

Shift Closing & Facility Maintenance

- Lead the closing shift team through end-of-day production shutdown procedures
- Oversee daily cleaning, sanitation, and facility maintenance with closing team
- Complete closing checklists and document production activity and any issues
- Ensure equipment is properly cleaned, maintained, and secured at shift end
- Manage inventory and supply coordination for next-day production

Documentation & Communication

- Maintain accurate production records, logs, and reports
- Communicate daily results, issues, and recommendations to management
- Document any safety concerns,



equipment issues, or deviations from standard procedures
- Coordinate with management on scheduling, staffing needs, and operational changes

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of production experience in a dairy, food manufacturing, or similar regulated environment
- Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role
- Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and HACCP principles
- Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and team leadership skills
- Physical ability to stand, lift, and perform manual tasks throughout the shift
- Reliability and commitment to punctuality
- Willingness to be hands-on and actively support production

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in butter or dairy production
- Familiarity with production equipment and systems
- Food Safety Certification (e.g., HACCP, Safe Food Handling)
- Experience with production planning or scheduling systems
- Problem-solving and process improvement mindset

WORKING CONDITIONS Schedule: 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM (shifts may vary based on production needs)

Environment:

- Dairy production facility with temperature control and sanitation requirements
- Regular exposure to dairy equipment, cleaning agents, and processing areas
- Physical demands include standing, lifting, and repetitive motion
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required
