Lambton Rural Child Care is looking for multiple caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Program Team Members to join our childcare team.
As a Program Team Member, you will play an important role in creating a safe, welcoming, caring, and engaging environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. Working collaboratively with other team members, you will help plan and deliver age-appropriate programs that support each child’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.

What You'll Do
- Plan and support engaging, age-appropriate programs based on children's interests, abilities, and developmental needs.
- Prepare learning centres, materials, activities, and special projects for the children in care.
- Observe and document children's development and use observations to support individualized programming.
- Support children's social, emotional, physical, cognitive, language, fine motor, and gross motor development.
- Work collaboratively with team members, families, teachers, students, and community partners.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Supervise children at all times and ensure their health and safety.
- Complete daily health and safety checks of children, classrooms, playgrounds, and surrounding areas.
- Assist children with meals, snacks, toileting, dressing, and other self-help activities according to their individual needs and abilities.
- Follow all medical, allergy, intolerance, and individual support plans.
- Support safe sleep practices and follow established sleep supervision procedures.
- Complete required documentation, including attendance records, daily and weekly logs, sleep charts,
illness records, accident reports, and other program documentation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized program environment.
- Administer minor first aid when required and complete appropriate documentation.
- Identify developmental concerns and communicate them to the Program Supervisor.
- Assist with the development and implementation of individual support plans when required.
- Maintain positive and qualified communication with parents and caregivers.
- Use childcare software such as HiMama for documentation and communication, where applicable.
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development.
- Assist with mentoring and training new team members and RECE students, when required.
- Promote a positive image of Lambton Rural Child Care within the community.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements
- RECE designation is considered a strong asset.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Criminal Reference Check/appropriate background screening as required.
- Vulnerable sector screening, where required.
- TB testing and immunizations as required.
- CAS/child welfare screening as required.
- Knowledge of Ontario's early learning and child care framework and related resources, including How Does Learning Happen?, ELECT, and Ages and Stages Questionnaires, is considered an asset.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Previous experience working in a licensed child care environment is considered an asset.
