Focus Systems is seeking an experienced Technical Architect - Level 2 (1901) to support an Infor Application Suite upgrade and ongoing application development and production support within an insurance/public-sector environment.

If you have at least 5 years of hands-on experience with Infor and Lawson across technical analysis, development, troubleshooting, testing, documentation, integration, and production support, this is an opportunity to contribute to a major platform upgrade that supports critical human resources and finance operations.

Key Details

- Location : Remote
- Contract : September 14, 2026, to March 5, 2027— initial six-month term, with two possible six-month renewals
- Industry : Insurance / Public Sector
- Work Arrangement : Fully remote; services provided as directed by the client
- Allocation : As needed ; work allocation is not guaranteed

Role Overview The successful candidate will provide hands-on technical analysis, development, troubleshooting, documentation, testing, architectural support, and production support for the Infor Application Suite and the active upgrade initiative. The application environment supports human resources and finance functions. It includes technologies such as Talent Management, Global Human Resources, Lawson Finance S3, Workforce Management, Lawson Business Intelligence and Smart Notes, Smart Office, Infor Process Designer, Infor Security Administrator, d/EPM, and COBOL. The successful candidate will collaborate with business units, technical teams, quality assurance, and team leads while adhering to platform governance and software delivery standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide technical assistance for Infor Application Suite upgrade activities.
- Analyze, plan, design, develop, maintain, test, troubleshoot, and support applications associated with the Infor Application Suite.
- Report to a team lead,



provide progress and status updates, and track time against assigned work items.
- Follow governance, standards, and best practices for the Infor platform and the client's software-delivery processes.
- Document system designs, components, interfaces, operating environments, data structures, processes, testing strategies, monitoring procedures, and related system information.
- Analyze functional requirements to identify information needs, procedures, decision flows, and solution alternatives.
- Investigate and resolve configuration, application, service, integration, and legacy-application issues on time.
- Perform break/fix support and regression testing, and support inbound and outbound interfaces to systems and middleware.
- Develop test plans and test cases and clarify defects or enhancements during user acceptance testing.
- Create and maintain procedures, standards, and technical documentation for current systems and changes to existing systems.
- Provide day-to-day production support and develop practical workarounds or supporting information for multiple applications.
- Create product backlog items or defects based on issues identified by business units within an Agile framework.
- Manage production support tickets from intake through implementation, including warranty-period defects, incidents, and work orders.
- Provide technical, design, and architectural support to team members, lead smaller projects, and coordinate work across functional areas.
- Provide after-hours on-call support,



including weekends, when required.

Mandatory Qualifications

- Minimum five (5) years of experience with the Infor Application Suite.
- Demonstrated experience performing technical analysis, development, troubleshooting, testing, documentation, and production support for Infor and Lawson applications supporting human resources and finance systems.
- Experience with relevant Infor technologies, including Talent Management, Global Human Resources, Lawson Finance S3, Workforce Management, LBI and Smart Notes, Smart Office, Infor Process Designer, Infor Security Administrator, d/EPM, and COBOL.
- Experience supporting upgrade activities, regression testing, break/fix work, user acceptance testing clarifications, inbound and outbound system interfaces, and production support.

Required Skills & Experience

- Strong analytical, technical analysis, development, troubleshooting, documentation, and problem-resolution skills.
- Ability to clarify requirements and resolve issues with clients, business units, technical teams, quality assurance, and team leads.
- Ability to provide technical, design, and architectural guidance and coordinate activities across functional areas.
- Experience preparing test plans, test cases, regression testing, and user acceptance testing support.
- Experience managing production incidents, work orders, backlog items, defects, and support tickets through implementation.
- Strong system integration, interface support, and legacy-application troubleshooting capabilities.
- Working knowledge of general insurance terminology and practices.
