Become a vital part of the community as a Cultural Resource Social Worker in Abbotsford for an 18-month term. This role focuses on culturally appropriate services and robust relational skills.
The Resource Social Worker position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related fields. You will bring at least three years of human services experience, along with outstanding communication and relationship-building abilities. This role emphasizes collaboration with Indigenous communities and offers prospects to develop professionally while working in a supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage placement requests for children in care - Coordinate family and out-of-region placements - Support caregivers in implementing permanent plans - Evaluate and train foster parents - Liaise with social workers on placement issues
Requirements: - Bachelor of Social Work Degree or equivalent - Three years of experience in human services - Delegation training in B.C. or willingness to complete - Solid problem-solving and communication skills - Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License
