Job Summary

E2 Academy is seeking a temporary part-time Learning Facilitator to support our twice-exceptional (2E) students. While this position is initially temporary, there is potential for it to transition into a permanent role.

We are looking for someone who brings patience, compassion, flexibility, and a calm presence to a agile, neuroaffirming school environment.

Position Overview

Learning Facilitators work alongside teachers and our multidisciplinary team to help students access learning, build independence, and successfully navigate their school day.

At E2, we understand that behaviour is communication. The right candidate can provide structure while remaining flexible, think outside the box when an approach isn't working, and respond to students with curiosity, patience, and respect.

E2 Academy is a neuroaffirming school and workplace, and neurodivergent candidates are encouraged to apply.

Duties

- Provide individualized academic and classroom support.
- Support student regulation, executive functioning, communication, and self-advocacy.
- Build positive, trusting relationships while maintaining clear and consistent expectations.
- Adapt strategies to individual student strengths, needs, and learning profiles.




- Collaborate with teachers, administration, other Learning Facilitators, and the multidisciplinary team.
- Support students during transitions, breaks, community activities, and other parts of the school day.
- Observe and communicate student progress, needs, and successes.

Qualifications

- Experience working with children or youth in an educational, recreational, community, or support setting.
- Experience or familiarity with neurodivergent learners is an asset.
- Understanding of, or willingness to learn, neuroaffirming and strength-based approaches.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Patient, dependable, flexible, and able to remain calm during challenging moments.
- Education or training in education, disability studies, child and youth care, psychology, behavioural science, or a related area is an asset but not required.
- First Aid/CPR is an asset.

We are interviewing this week, with staff training beginning August 26. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply promptly. Pay: $19.57-$27.56 per hour
