This position offers the chance to thrive in a research-intensive workplace, utilizing 50% of your time for surgical services and the other half for academic responsibilities.
Engage with DVM students during their critical training years, emphasizing both high-quality surgical practices and innovative research efforts. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform surgical procedures on horses and large livestock
- Mentor and instruct veterinary students and interns
- Develop and conduct research programs in large animal surgery
- Deliver lectures and hands-on training in the DVM curriculum
- Collaborate on departmental projects and initiatives Requirements:
- DVM degree and relevant surgical residency completion
- Certification qualification in veterinary surgery
- Experience in teaching is an asset
- Proven ability in academic research and publication
