Insight Global is seeking a Test Engineering Supervisor to join a leading aerospace and advanced manufacturing organization in Montreal. This individual will be responsible for leading engineering and production test teams, ensuring products are tested in accordance with quality standards, technical specifications, and program requirements.

The Test Engineering Supervisor will play a critical leadership role across production operations, resource planning, process improvement, and employee development. This person will serve as the primary point of contact between engineering, production, program management, and leadership teams while driving operational excellence, employee engagement, and delivery performance.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong engineering background, proven people leadership experience, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role requires a hands-on leader who is comfortable managing priorities, resolving operational conflicts, coaching team members, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and supervise multidisciplinary engineering and test teams to ensure secure, efficient, and high-quality execution of testing activities.

Allocate personnel and resources based on production schedules, program priorities, and operational requirements.

Act as the primary escalation point for production employees and provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and technical guidance.

Support employee development through training, performance evaluations, career planning, and skills development initiatives.

Partner with program managers, production leaders, and engineering teams to resolve resource conflicts and operational issues.

Monitor resource availability, materials, and production readiness to ensure delivery commitments are achieved.





Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on production efficiency, quality, and operational effectiveness.

Communicate critical production status updates, risks, and recovery plans to stakeholders and leadership.

Support hiring activities, including interviewing and evaluating prospective team members.

Ensure compliance with company policies, collective agreements, health and safety requirements, and operational procedures.

Contribute to the development and maintenance of departmental processes, work instructions, and operational standards.

Participate in strategic resource planning and workforce management initiatives.

Support business process improvement efforts that enhance productivity, service quality, and overall operational performance.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or another related technical discipline.
- 5+ years of people leadership experience within an engineering, manufacturing, production, or technical environment.
- Experience conducting performance reviews, salary discussions, coaching, employee development, and workforce management activities.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills with a demonstrated ability to motivate and develop employees.
- Bilingual communication skills with a strong emphasis on French (French/English).
- Experience managing KPIs, operational metrics, and team performance objectives.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Experience working in engineering, manufacturing,



production, or industrial environments.
- Strong understanding of resource planning, scheduling, and production operations.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders including engineering, operations, program management, and leadership teams.
- Knowledge of ERP systems and production planning methodologies.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a dynamic production environment.
- Eligibility to obtain Reliability Status, Controlled Goods Program (CGP), and Secret Security Clearance.

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience within aerospace, defense, space, or high-tech manufacturing industries.
- Knowledge of electronic and mechanical systems or technologies.
- Experience supporting testing, verification, or qualification activities.
- Previous experience in a unionized environment.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and production workflows.
- Experience with workforce planning, risk management, negotiations, and operational reporting.
- Experience leading business process improvement or continuous improvement initiatives.
- Exposure to health and safety compliance programs within manufacturing environments.
- Experience serving as a backup supervisor or manager for production operations.
- Strong sense of humor with a collaborative and team-oriented leadership style.

Compensation: $90k/yr to $110k/yr
