Tire and Lube Technician Job Summary

Braden Auto Group is looking for a motivated Tire and Lube Technician to join our service team. This position is well suited to someone who is mechanically inclined, dependable, eager to learn, and interested in developing a long-term career in the automotive trade.

In this role, you will gain hands-on experience performing tire services, oil changes, inspections, and basic vehicle maintenance while working alongside experienced automotive professionals. You will also have opportunities to assist with more advanced procedures, such as wheel alignments and basic diagnostics, as your skills and experience develop.

Responsibilities

- Perform tire rotations, seasonal tire changes, tire replacements, repairs, balancing, and tire pressure checks safely and efficiently
- Perform oil and filter changes and check and top up vehicle fluids as required
- Assist with vehicle inspections and identify maintenance or repair concerns
- Assist experienced technicians with wheel alignments and related tire and suspension services
- Assist with basic diagnostic procedures under the direction of experienced technicians
- Learn to use automotive diagnostic equipment, hand tools, power tools, hoists, and other shop equipment safely and correctly
- Assist with basic vehicle maintenance, including brake inspections and fluid checks
- Communicate vehicle concerns and service findings clearly to the appropriate members of the service team




- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all dealership procedures and workplace health and safety requirements
- Support other members of the service department as required

Requirements

- Previous dealership, tire and lube, or automotive service experience is preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools
- Basic knowledge of tire service, oil changes, and vehicle maintenance is an asset
- Interest in developing automotive repair and maintenance skills
- Ability to follow instructions and learn from experienced technicians
- Ability to safely lift and handle tires, wheels, and other vehicle components
- Strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dealership workplace
- Valid G or G2 driver's licence with an acceptable driving record
- CSA approved Grade-1 Steel Toe Footwear
- Clear criminal records check
- Must have their own basic tools

Compensation

Starting at $17.60 per hour, with starting wage determined based on relevant experience and qualifications.

This position is also eligible to participate in Braden Auto Group's bonus incentive program,



providing the opportunity to earn additional compensation based on applicable program criteria.
