Tool and Die – Red Seal Licensed

We are currently seeking an experienced Tool and Die expert to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preventative and corrective maintenance of various tooling and fixtures while supporting production, quality, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on tooling, including:
- Stamping dies
- Swage fixtures
- Leak test fixtures
- Roll-forming tooling
- General machining
- Complete preventative, scheduled corrective, non-scheduled corrective, and project maintenance work orders in the e-maint CMMS .
- Close out work orders accurately, including documenting parts and labour.
- Respond promptly to emergency breakdown maintenance calls and pages.
- Participate in tooling upgrades, modifications, and continuous improvement projects.
- Identify and escalate tooling concerns to Toolroom Supervision.
- Perform all work in accordance with industry best practices and within the scope of your trade.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives, including DOS activities .
- Follow all company Health & Safety and Quality policies .




- Attend monthly toolbox meetings and hourly communication meetings.
- Understand and support departmental and company KPIs .
- Maintain a professional and respectful working relationship with all employees.

Requirements:

- Red Seal certification in a relevant trade is required.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing/toolroom environment.
- Strong experience with tooling maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Experience with stamping dies, fixtures, roll-forming tooling, or general machining is an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and tooling specifications.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Solid commitment to workplace safety and quality.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
