POSITION OVERVIEW In the position of Track Loader (Parker) you will make a difference every single day as you ensure continuous production by unloading finished product from the conveyor and organizing onto skids.
WAGE
$22.40 - $23.40 plus $.75 shift premium for afternoon shift hours worked
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
· Prior experience working successfully in a team-oriented production or manufacturing environment is preferred.
· Experience operating machinery or production equipment in a food processing, packaging, or general manufacturing setting is an asset; however, on-the-job training will be provided.
· Demonstrated reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to follow established procedures are essential.
· Must be able to communicate and work effectively with others as part of a team, showing politeness, respect, and courtesy in all interactions.
· Able to follow and give explicit, concise instructions to support team coordination and productivity.
· Demonstrates initiative, cooperation, and a positive attitude when responding to changing production needs.
· Builds constructive working relationships across departments to maintain smooth workflow and problem resolution.
· Constant mental effort in order to keep up with the demands of continuous, fast-paced production to complete daily orders accurately and on time.
· Must be able to multi-task in order to keep up with the demands of continuous, fast-past production, to keep count of product, and to keep ahead of what is being run.
· Concentration is required when operating equipment to ensure care and diligence when handling product and to ensure the safety of self and others.
· Being able to prioritize job tasks for greatest efficiency and stay organized and in control.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Inspect the Finished Cooler for any partial skids of the product currently running and bring them to the production floor to be filled first.
· Operating a hand jack to keep a constant supply of skids of eggs at the loader workstation.
· Reorganizing farm materials (pallets and dividers) by stacking onto separate pallets.
· Ensure all packaging materials meet company standards.
· Communicating with production staff and on producer changes, order progress, and required quantities as well as communicating any problems with the production line.
· Maintain accurate product sheets and update date codes on date guns.
· Remove full skids from the floor area to the cooler; replace with empty skids as needed.
· Break down baskets (seven high), supply boxes, and maintain a tidy track area.
· Perform cleanup procedures and clean up part cases at the end of the track.
· Identify damaged product, remove it, and replace if needed.
· Park finished product in the correct location in the cooler following proper procedures.
· Staying alert to any problems the Loaders are experiencing in the loading area and assisting them whenever needed.
· Remove full containers of broken eggs in the scanning area and replacing with empty containers regularly.
· Collecting rewashed eggs every two hours and returning to the ungraded egg cooler.
· Perform any other duties assigned by the Production Coordinator, Plant Manager or Supervisor.
