Responsibilities

- Direct vehicular and pedestrian traffic around active construction zones using clear hand signals, signs, and barriers
- Set up and maintain traffic control devices such as cones, barricades, flagging stations, and warning signs to ensure visibility and safety
- Communicate effectively with construction crews, drivers, and pedestrians to coordinate safe passage and prevent accidents
- Monitor the site continuously for potential hazards or unsafe behaviors, taking immediate corrective actions when necessary
- Assist in the installation and removal of temporary traffic control measures in accordance with project schedules and safety standards




- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure work environment for everyone on-site
- Report any incidents or unsafe conditions to supervisors promptly for swift resolution

Experience

- Prior experience in traffic control, construction, or related roles is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidates
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is a plus, demonstrating versatility in supporting construction activities
- Knowledge of paving operations or general construction processes is advantageous but not required
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work outdoors in various weather conditions is essential
- Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and the public
