Earth Options is looking for a reliable and professional Transfer Operator and Funeral Home Assistant to join our team. This is a meaningful role supporting families during some of life’s most difficult moments — from first-call removals through transport, vehicle care, and day-to-day funeral home support.

Position Overview You will be responsible for the professional transfer and transport of deceased individuals, vehicle upkeep, administrative support, and general funeral home operations. This combined role helps ensure families receive respectful and dependable care at every step.

Key Responsibilities

Transfer & Transport

- Transfer requests from hospitals and other locations
- Perform transfers using proper equipment and techniques.
- Complete accurate identification, chain-of-custody documentation, and required paperwork
- Transport decedents to the funeral home or other designated facilities
- Coordinate professionally with hospital staff

Vehicle Care

- Keep assigned vehicles clean, presentable, and fully operational
- Fuel vehicles and monitor fluid levels, tires, and overall readiness
- Maintain adequate supplies of PPE, transfer equipment, and cleaning materials
- Identify mechanical or operational issues

Funeral Home Support

- Deliver urns to families and cemeteries
- Scan files and help prepare estate folders and related materials
- Assist with other duties as needed to support smooth day-to-day operations

Working Conditions

- Physical demands include frequent lifting and transferring
- Skilled appearance, willingness to follow a dress code, discretion, confidentiality and composure are required at all times

What We’re Looking For

- Valid Class 5 (or higher)



driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Ability to safely lift and maneuver heavy loads
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow detailed procedures independently or as part of a team
- Previous experience in driving, customer service, healthcare, or related fields is an asset but not required
