;Job Summary

We are a fast growing tree service looking for a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team. This role involves hands-on work in tree maintenance, ground clean-up, and the use of skid steers, wood chippers, etc.. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both tree climbing experience and operating machinery and tools, with a focus on maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces.

This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic team setting, contributing to the beautification and functionality of various trees around the city while developing mechanical and horticultural skills. Please understand this is a physically demanding job that will require repetitive tasks, including heavy lifting that can exceed 85lbs.

Responsibilities

- Operate heavy machinery and drive light duty trucks as needed
- Climbing will be a large responsibility
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic mechanical repairs
- Support general site cleanup and safety procedures to ensure a secure work environment
- Clean up all debris on job site

Qualifications

- Experience with and willingness to use: Chainsaws, mini skid steer, wood chipper, stump grinder, and mini excavator. Willingness to drive chipper truck is a must.
- Knowledge of tree species and care techniques considered an asset
- Tree work experience is required
- Climbing experience is required




- Mechanical knowledge related to equipment operation and maintenance
- Strong understanding of work site safety standards in relation to tree work
- Ability to perform physical labor and operate machinery for extended periods
- Prior experience in construction or outdoor maintenance is advantageous
- Valid G level driver’s license with explicit abstract is required

This position is ideal for individuals passionate about outdoor environments, skilled in mechanical operations, and eager to contribute to the health and well-being of trees and tree safety and enjoy a fast-paced work environment. This position is full-time in the summer 40 hrs per week; opportunities for overtime; weekends may be required.

On call for emergency storm damage also required.

Experience will be considered for starting wage.
