Join the Park Opportunity Garden
At Park, we believe a world-class landscape starts from the ground up—and that includes our team. We don’t just offer jobs; we provide a fertile space where you can plant your ambitions and watch them bloom. Our culture is built on a simple philosophy: When we invest in you, you invest in us.
The "Opportunity Garden" Framework
We’ve designed our employee experience around three core pillars to ensure you don’t just work—you flourish:
- NURTURE: We Get It – We provide a supportive workplace built on Integrity & Trust. Your wellbeing is our priority; we focus on Working Safe & Working Smart to create a frictionless environment with the tools you need to succeed without the burnout.
- GROW: Building Capacity – We don’t leave your career to chance. Through our Employee Success initiative, we provide intentional growth plans, training, and resources to expand your skillset. If you have the ambition, we provide the ladder.
- THRIVE: You Want It – This is where your "Can-Do" Attitude meets Empowerment. We trust you to be a problem-solver with the autonomy to tackle challenges head-on. We take pride in the tangible "before and after" of our labor.
The Role: Truck Driver (Class 3)
While we provide the environment, we need you to provide the operational muscle. As a Class 3 Truck Driver, you are the backbone of our production flow, ensuring materials, equipment, and supplies reach our crews and job sites safely and efficiently.
Your Daily Impact
- Logistics Excellence: Operate Class 3 trucks to transport bulk materials (soil, mulch, gravel) and equipment between yards and job sites.
- Hands-On Support: You’re more than just a driver—you’ll provide vital site assistance, material handling,
and general labor to keep our crews moving.
- Equipment Stewardship: Perform daily inspections and maintain your vehicle to Alberta Transportation standards, ensuring our fleet stays "Park Proud".
- Safety Leadership: Adhere to all CVSA standards and company safety policies, participating in a culture where everyone goes home safe.
- Seasonal Adaptability: Transition into our winter operations from November to April, supporting critical snow and ice management for our clients.
The Essentials for Growth (KSAs)
To truly thrive in this role, you’ll need a solid foundation of skills and the right mindset:
- Knowledge: Working knowledge of Alberta Transportation regulations, NSC standards, and load securement requirements.
- Skills: Valid Class 3 Driver’s License with a clean abstract. Air Brake (Q) endorsement is strongly preferred. Experience with light equipment (skid steers/loaders) is a major asset.
- Abilities: Minimum of 2+ years of commercial driving experience. Ability to handle the physical demands of the role, including lifting 50+ lbs and working outdoors in variable weather.
- Mindset: A "Can-Do" attitude with the flexibility to handle a dispatch-driven environment and the unpredictable nature of Alberta winters.
Compensation & Total Rewards
Your total rewards package is designed to support your financial well-being and daily success:
- Competitive Hourly Wage: Based on experience.
- Predictable Paychecks: Through our Alberta Individual Overtime Agreement, we bank your busy-season extra hours to top up your pay during rain delays or seasonal shifts.
- Health & Dental Benefits: Access to our comprehensive group benefits plan.
- RRSP Matching Program: A company-matched contribution plan to support your long-term financial goals.
- Incentives: Eligibility for performance-based bonuses and incentive programs offered at the Company’s sole discretion.
- Tools for Success: High-quality gear, specialized machinery, and resources provided to ensure you can work safely and efficiently.
