Genie Senior Services supports older adults and families through major life transitions with dignity, patience, and compassion. We’re looking for a responsible, respectful Driver/Mover who can safely operate company vehicles while providing exceptional support to senior citizens during their move.

No Experience Necessary

We provide paid, hands-on training in moving, packing, communication, and safe driving practices. If you bring the right attitude, we’ll teach you the rest.

What You’ll Do

- Safely drive company vehicles (pick-up truck hitched to a 20ft cargo trailer) to and from client locations
- Provide exceptional customer service as you move furniture with the team
- Load and unload the moving truck with care and attention
- Communicate clearly and kindly with senior citizens, families, co-workers, and team leads
- Safely move furniture, boxes, and household items
- Set up clients’ recent homes with care, attention, and respect for sentimental belongings
- Protect floors, walls, and belongings using proper equipment and techniques
- Maintain a professional, tidy, and respectful presence in clients’ homes

Availability Expectations:

- Hours are typically Monday – Friday (8:00am – 5pm)




- Stay on site until the job is complete (some moves may run past scheduled hours)
- Ability to work in different locations (Mississauga, Oakville, Etobicoke, GTA)

What You Bring

- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Must be fluent in English to communicate with our clients
- Valid G driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Access to a vehicle
- Ability to lift and move items up to 75 lbs consistently (heavier items as team lifts)
- Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, patient approach
- Ability to listen carefully and follow instructions from trainers and team leads
- Reasoning Ability: Able to solve practical problems, adapt to unique situations, and interpret instructions provided verbally, in writing, or through diagrams/schedules
- Must be willing to complete a pre-employment background check — Genie reimburses the cost
- A calm, patient, and respectful approach when working with senior citizens
- Reliability, punctuality, and a steady, team‑oriented mindset
- Experience in moving, caregiving, customer service, or senior support is an asset

Equipment Use

- Dollies, straps, blankets, floor runners
- Ability to learn safe lifting techniques
- Use of Genie‑provided tools/equipment

Transportation Expectations

- Meet the team at a central location or the client’s home
- Travel with the team
- Have reliable personal transportation
