Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and energetic UCMAS Abacus Teacher to inspire young learners and foster their mathematical skills through the innovative UCMAS (Universal Concept of Mental Arithmetic) program. In this role, you will guide children in developing mental calculation abilities using the abacus, helping them build confidence, improve concentration, and enhance their overall academic performance. Your enthusiasm for teaching and commitment to student success will create a positive learning environment that motivates students to reach their full potential.

Duties

- Deliver engaging and interactive lessons based on the UCMAS abacus curriculum to children of various age groups
- Assess students’ progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their development
- Prepare lesson plans and teaching materials tailored to individual student needs and learning styles
- Foster a supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity, participation, and confidence in math skills
- Monitor attendance, behavior, and engagement levels during sessions to ensure an effective learning experience




- Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate student progress and address any concerns
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom workplace conducive to focused learning

Skills

- Proven experience working with children in an educational or tutoring setting
- Strong knowledge of math concepts, mental arithmetic, and abacus techniques
- Excellent teaching skills with the ability to motivate and inspire young learners
- Proficiency in computer skills for preparing digital teaching aids and tracking student progress
- Classroom experience, preferably with early childhood or elementary education
- Familiarity with special education needs and adaptive teaching methods is a plus
- Solid understanding of computer science principles related to educational technology
