Vancouver Island Health Authority is seeking a passionate Community Occupational Therapist to deliver vital services and education to clients across multiple locations. This role emphasizes client care and community engagement. As a temporary full-time Occupational Therapist, you will provide comprehensive therapy services, guidance for caregivers, and educational support for clients throughout the community.
Candidates must have a recognized degree and be licensed within British Columbia, along with two years of post-graduate experience.
Your role will directly influence rehabilitation outcomes and community health initiatives. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to diverse client populations
- Consult with caregivers for effective rehabilitation strategies
- Educate community members on therapy techniques and interventions
- Collaborate with healthcare staff to enhance service delivery
- Regularly travel between multiple sites for client consultations Requirements:
- Graduated with a degree in Occupational Therapy
- Licensed to practice in BC as an Occupational Therapist
- Two years' experience in a similar role, ideally community based
- Solid communication and organizational skills
- Must hold a valid Class 5 driver's license Support client rehabilitation and community well-being through your work as a Community Occupational Therapist.
