Metrolinx seeks an Equipment Officer to monitor locomotives and coaches in compliance with maintenance standards. You will assist in developing procurement requirements, designing recent equipment, and updating maintenance schedules. Your expertise will support both regulatory compliance and efficient operations across the fleet.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop scope for procurement and major overhauls
• Recommend designs for new locomotive acquisitions
• Establish maintenance schedules and procedures
• Lead major locomotive modification projects




• Investigate equipment issues and suggest solutions

Requirements:
• Diploma in Electrical/Electronic or Mechanical Engineering Technology
• Experience in transit equipment maintenance and design
• Knowledge of Transport Canada and railway regulations
• Valid Ontario class “G” driver’s licence
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PowerBI preferred
