About the Role
Our projects are diverse and include geotechnical and civil engineering, QA/QC construction monitoring, drill monitoring, geo-environmental monitoring, site investigations, foundation inspections, and soil and concrete laboratory testing. Our work spans multiple industries, including open-pit mining environments and municipal infrastructure projects.

This position is a full-time, laboratory-based role located in our Fort McMurray lab , with the potential for occasional field work to support project and operational needs. Job Responsibilities
We are currently seeking individuals to perform geotechnical and materials laboratory testing. Key responsibilities include:

Conducting geotechnical laboratory testing on soils and aggregates, including proctors, sieve analysis, hydrometer testing, specific gravity, and Atterberg limits





Performing compressive strength testing on concrete materials in accordance with applicable ASTM and CSA standards

Entering laboratory sample information and generating worksheets using the LIMS system

Inputting third-party laboratory results as required

Submitting soil and concrete test results to the Quality Assurance Specialist

Calibrating laboratory equipment (Proctor machines, sieves, ovens, scales, and molds) and completing preventative maintenance as required

Working in a quick-paced environment while carrying out assignments with minimal supervision

Physical requirements include prolonged standing, repetitive movements, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Compensation
$27.00- $31.00 per hour , depending on experience.

What We Look For
We are seeking individuals with:

A diploma in Civil Engineering Technology, Environmental Sciences, Geotechnical Sciences, or an equivalent combination of education and laboratory experience

Legal authorization to work in Canada

A valid driver's license

Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel

Strong organizational, time management, analytical, and problem-solving skills

A willingness to learn and grow within a laboratory environment

A strong commitment to workplace health and safety

Additional Assets

Knowledge of SpectraQest

Previous experience in a laboratory or technical testing environment

Working Conditions & Requirements

Ability to successfully complete a Fit for Work assessment

Ability to meet drug and alcohol testing requirements

Comfortable working in safety-sensitive environments
