Become a vital part of the Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council as a Diabetes Leader in Port Alberni. This full time position focuses on providing essential diabetes education and support to community members.

As the Diabetes Leader, you'll be part of the Nursing Services program for a term of two years. Travel to various Nuu-chah-nulth communities on Vancouver Island is essential, allowing you to deliver tailored, culturally safe diabetes consultations. You will facilitate educational sessions and contribute significantly to diabetes programming and resources.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct group educational sessions for individuals with diabetes
• Implement and evaluate diabetes care protocols
• Use trauma-informed care when working with clients




• Advocate for diabetes self-management support
• Collaborate with community staff and families

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Dietetics preferred
• Minimum three years of relevant experience required
• Current BCCNM or CHCPBC registration
• Registered Dietitian status in good standing is an asset
• Valid BC Driver’s License and reliable transportation required
