We are currently recruiting for a Billing Specialist with at least 3 years of practical experience in a legal setting. This is a permanent and full-time position, hours will be Monday through Friday, 8.30am to 4.30pm. Responsibilities:

Maintaining a fulsome billing process that includes:

Generating and sending out client invoices

Assisting with time entry and bill review

Applying trust funds to accounts

Identifying tax issues





Managing the billing cycle

Client communications

Assisting Accounts Receivable (cross-trained)

Ad hoc projects for the accounting team as needed

Qualifications:

A minimum of 3+ years of previous work experience as a billing clerk or specialist

Experience in a legal setting.

Graduation from a post-secondary program or degree, in accounting or relevant field.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.

Proficiency in various accounting and billing software, experience with Acumin considered an asset.

Computer savvy and able to learn various computer programs quickly.

Excellent client service skills (external and internal) and ability to develop positive and collaborative relationships.

Ability to manage multiple priorities.

Attention to detail and ability to quickly identify problems and provide solutions.
