Northwood seeks a passionate individual to join the SEEDS for Success team. Your role will incorporate therapeutic recreation techniques and facilitate engaging group activities. This includes program development in gardening and creative arts while supervising volunteers. Experience in long-term care and mental health is highly regarded for this impactful position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and oversee weekly programming for clients
• Supervise gardening initiatives and volunteer recruitment
• Maintain client attendance and progress records
• Assist in the facilitation of anxiety and depression support groups
• Organize seasonal retail events for community engagement
Requirements:
• Diploma in Occupational Therapy Assistant or similar
• Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant work experience
• CPR/First Aid and WHMIS required
• Proven ability to lift and transfer 44lbs
• Effective communication skills for client interaction
