East End Vets is located between Upper Beaches and Danforth Ave. Easily accessible by four means of transit. We are an independent practice who wants to give back to the community. We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assistant, who believes in the importance of providing exceptional care and service to the dogs and cats and their parents of East Toronto.

Responsibilities (not limited to):

- Patient care and comfort through husbandry duties
- Maintain cleanliness of practice with janitorial duties
- Coordinate communication between clients, veterinarians, and other staff members
- Supporting veterinarians with appointments, medical treatments, diagnostic procedures, and patient care




- Safely restraining animals and providing attentive care throughout their visit
- Preparing patients for surgical and dental procedures and assisting with post-procedure recovery
- Collecting, preparing, and processing laboratory samples
- Assisting with radiographic imaging and other diagnostic procedures
- Preparing, sterilizing, and organizing surgical instrument packs
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked hospital environment
- Communicating courteously and professionally with clients while assisting the veterinary team as needed

Qualifications

- Confident in animal handling and restraint
- Collaboration and accountability
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work well under pressure- Knowledge of laboratory procedures would be beneficial- Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care setting is preferred- Strong communication and interpersonal skills- Proficiency in basic computer skills and knowledge of veterinary software systems is a plus
