We are a thriving, privately owned veterinary dermatology practice with four locations and have welcomed two new doctors to our Vancouver clinic! At NWVDS you'll play an essential role in delivering exceptional care to our patients and clients. To support our new doctors, we are seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our collaborative and compassionate team.

Veterinary Assistant Duties Include
- Maintaining accurate medical records
- Communicating to clients by phone/email and maintaining accurate medical records
- Commitment to low-stress patient handling and exceptional patient care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive, self-motivated, and team-oriented attitude
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- High attention to detail
- Genuine compassion for patients and clients
- Desire to learn, grow, and excel within a specialty practice
- Experience with Cornerstone software and basic computer troubleshooting is considered an asset
- Genuine interest and initiative to help NWVDS be the best practice it can be
Required Qualifications
- Preparing and administering medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Preparing laboratory samples
- Blood collection skills considered an asset
- Assisting with diagnostic and medical procedures
- Admitting and discharging patients
- Providing client education and home-care instructions
- Veterinary Medical Assistant certificate or previous experience required, new grads are welcome
Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
