Tanglefoot Veterinary Services is looking for a Veterinary Assistant to join our busy, locally owned veterinary practice in Cranbrook.

We’re looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking, compassionate, and team-oriented. This is a varied role that combines hands-on patient care with reception and administrative duties.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Assisting veterinarians and RVTs with patient handling, restraint, and patient care
- Preparing exam rooms, treatment areas, patients, and supplies
- Cleaning, disinfecting, laundry, stocking, and maintaining hospital areas
- Greeting clients, answering phones, and assisting with appointment scheduling
- Processing payments and helping with general reception duties
- Completing basic administrative tasks and maintaining accurate records
- Helping wherever needed to keep the hospital running smoothly

What We’re Looking For
- Reliable, organized, and able to multitask
- Friendly and professional with strong customer service skills
- Comfortable working with animals and people




- Able to stay calm and organized in a busy environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Willing to learn, take direction, and show initiative
- Comfortable with the physical demands of veterinary work

Previous veterinary, animal-care, reception, or customer-service experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right person.

Position Details

Location: Cranbrook, BC

Wage: $20.00–$24.00 per hour, depending on experience

Position: Full-time
