In this role, the Activity Director will ensure residents participate in various activities each month. You'll lead a committed team, maintain budgets, and develop programs that significantly enhance the resident experience. A key focus is to engage and cultivate a team that embodies Extendicare’s mission of quality care for seniors.

Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure resident satisfaction through engaging activities
• Organize multiple events per month for seniors




• Lead and motivate staff and volunteers in the recreation department
• Oversee the budget and monitor expenditures
• Collaborate to implement resident-focused programs

Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in Recreation Therapy
• At least one year of health care experience
• Minimum two years’ experience in senior program planning
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Valid Vulnerable Sector Search performed within six months
