In this role, you'll work alongside a Registered Nurse to implement AgeCare's policies while actively participating in the care team. Your responsibilities include liaising with physicians and ensuring the needs of residents are consistently met. You will provide direction to Personal Support Workers and contribute to shift reports to maintain effective communication.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver qualified nursing care in long-term care settings
• Collaborate with health care teams to meet residents' needs
• Implement nursing policies and procedural updates
• Notify physicians of significant changes in resident conditions
• Supervise Personal Support Workers on the care team
Requirements:
• Certificate of Competence from College of Nurses of Ontario
• Background in geriatric or rehabilitation nursing
• Knowledge of relevant health acts and nursing standards
• Effective communication skills in health care settings
• Passion for delivering exceptional resident care
