At least one year of customer-facing demand-side management (DSM) experience is required for this position, which can include experience with energy auditing or energy advising in the commercial, industrial or residential space.
Power TakeOff is seeking an Energy Advisor II to recruit and engage business, institutional, and commercial customers where energy savings opportunities have been identified through email and phone calls. This position requires sales and account management skills including cold calling, customer meeting facilitation and the ability to communicate energy efficiency concepts to drive energy savings.

Position Summary Energy Advisors are vital to the success of the Virtual Commissioning® (VCx®) Program, designed and implemented by Power TakeOff.
Energy Advisors provide recommendations and remote support for participants to implement energy saving actions. After the participant has implemented the recommended changes, Energy Advisors monitor their smart meter data and work with our internal Measurement and Verification (M&V;) team to confirm the energy savings.
Key Responsibilities Owns their own pipeline and accounts end-to-end, strengthening long-term account management
Manages a larger and more complex portfolio, yielding more kWh savings
Builds and maintains solid client relationships, adapting outreach strategies to different customer types and needs
Leads client meetings, representing the company confidently and answering questions accurately
Effectively manages their pipeline, keeping stages up to date and notes on all accounts
Manages client expectations independently
Data Analysis I ndependently analyzes data to prioritize tasks and make decisions within their portfolio
Uses data to prioritize accounts, adjust approach, and track savings goals
Effectively explains how metrics inform their decisions
Confidently uses data to make recommendations for the most common facility types
Uses data and prioritization to increase efficiency and drive stronger results
Team Improvement & Engagement Identifies areas for continuous improvement in the EA role or within processes
Independently troubleshoots common issues and finds solutions, acting as a “go-to” within their pod for informal guidance
Participates in regular knowledge-sharing to support their pod’s success
Participates in team discussions and helps build a positive team environment
Demonstrates reliability and accountability for their work
Strategizes on how to accomplish their own goals to support team success
