At Kraken Robotics, we design advanced subsea imaging, battery,and robotic systems used around the world.We’regrowing our engineering team and looking for an Electrical Engineering Technologist/Technician tocontribute tothe design of mission-critical electronics for next-generation ocean technologies.
You’llreport to the Engineering Manager,Newfoundland(10+ years in subsea systemsengineering).
What You'll Work On
Design and development of electrical systemswithinour Remotely Operated Towed Vehicle(ROTV),Katfish
Designing wiring harnesses and cable assemblies forROTVs and their associated topside control equipment, considering factors such as signal integrity, thermal management, and EMC/EMI compliance.
Direct activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications and customer requirements.
Developing test plans and procedures, conducting testing, and performing validation to ensure the reliability and performance of electrical systems.
Develop andvalidatedesigns for extreme environments (pressure, temperature, EMI)
Collaborate closely with mechanical, firmware, and systems engineers to deliver fully integrated products
Guide products from prototype→production→field deployment
Mentor junior engineersand co-op students
Apply required codes and standards to design criteria

What You Bring
4+ years of experience inElectricalEngineeringTechnology
Proven ability to takethe design specification,installationand connection methods of electrical equipment
Solid written and oral communication skills (technical reporting)
Comfortable troubleshooting issues like noise,distortion,cross-talk,grounding, EMI/EMC
Nice to Have (Not Required)
Experience with subsea, marine, ormicroelectronics industries
Familiarity with tools like Altium, Zuken E3, orColab
Experience with sensor/telemetry systems
