Pursue your passion for aquatics with the Town of Whitby as a Part-Time Aquatic Safety Instructor. You'll ensure patron safety and facilitate enjoyable swim lessons in a hybrid work environment.

This Instructor Guard role reports to the Supervisor of Aquatics and requires a skilled with effective communication skills and a focus on inclusivity. You will be responsible for enforcing pool rules, providing high-quality swim instruction, and continuously enhancing the safety standards in the aquatic environment while actively engaging with community members.

Key Responsibilities:
• Actively supervise thepool environment for safety
• Conduct Lifesaving Society Swim programs
• Address participant concerns and maintain safety protocols




• Prepare weekly lesson plans and participant reports
• Keep the aquatic area clean and organized

Requirements:
• Lifesaving Society National Lifeguard Certification
• Swim Instructor and Lifesaving Instructor Certifications
• Emergency First Aid and CPR “C” certified
• Effective interpersonal skills and reliable time management
• Availability for flexible shifts, including evenings
