Vocational Rehabilitation Specialists/ Psychometrician

Diversified Rehabilitation Group is seeking a Vocational Rehabilitation Specialists / Psychometrician to join our team on a sub-contractor basis working remotely as well as at our Kelowna location.

The Vocational Rehabilitation

Specialist will work in collaboration with the referral source to provide return to work services to clients. You will have the chance to conduct transferrable skills assessments, vocational evaluations and job search training for clients who are seeking paid employment.

Responsibilities:

· Assesses clients’ needs by interviewing client and compiling and reviewing background information such as test results, academic reports and work-site / training assessments to determine client’s readiness and eligibility for services.

· Provides support and vocational counselling to clients.

· Provides advice to individuals to explore alternate employment or educational services and refers client to appropriate services.

· Develops Transferable Skills Analysis

· Administrate psychometric testing

· Analyzes labour market data and identifies available training resources and employment opportunities.

· Develops and monitors return to work plans, training, goals, plans and strategies.





· Negotiates training programs and employment placements with prospective employers.

· Provides job search and job coaching.

· Determines effectiveness of job placement.

· Advises employers regarding job-site modifications and assesses tools, equipment and transportation required by clients.

Qualifications:

- University degree preferred (psychology, education, kinesiology, social work, health sciences, rehabilitation etc.)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience within the provision of vocational rehabilitation (career transferable skills assessments, vocational counselling and / or job search skills / job placement)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Software
- RRP, CVRP or CCVE
- Criminal record check – Vulnerable Sector
- Strong understanding of the labour market
- Class 5 driver’s license

Pay: $35.00-$42.00 per hour
