Duties

- Plan and organize engaging basketball practices that focus on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
- Assist head coaches in game-day coaching, providing strategic guidance and encouragement to players during matches.
- Foster a safe, inclusive environment where all participants feel valued and motivated to perform their best.
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, and fellow coaches to ensure smooth team operations.
- Promote healthy habits such as proper warm-up routines, hydration, and injury prevention techniques.
- Support the development of players’ technical skills through teaching fundamentals like shooting, dribbling, passing, and defense.




- Encourage fair play, respect for opponents, officials, and teammates to uphold the integrity of the sport.

Skills

- Strong background in teaching or coaching basketball with the ability to demonstrate techniques clearly.
- Passion for working with youth and fostering their personal growth through sports.
- Excellent communication skills to motivate players and collaborate with team members effectively.
- Ability to create an energetic and positive atmosphere that inspires teamwork and confidence.
- Knowledge of swimming is a nice-to-have skill that can be integrated into multi-sport programs or community activities involving water safety awareness.
- Patience, adaptability, and a proactive approach to managing diverse group dynamics.
