Volunteer Opportunity

We are looking for friendly, energetic, and outgoing volunteers to assist with the KTO Canada booth during the two day public event.

Volunteers will help welcome visitors, provide information about Korean tourism, support booth activities, distribute promotional materials and samples, and help create a welcoming experience for event attendees.

This is a great opportunity for individuals interested in Korea, tourism, travel, culture, events, marketing, or community engagement to gain hands-on event experience and connect with members of the public.

Volunteer Responsibilities

- Welcome visitors to the KTO Canada booth.
- Provide friendly and professional assistance to event attendees.
- Introduce visitors to Korea-related tourism information and promotional activities.
- Distribute brochures, promotional materials, and approved samples or giveaways.
- Encourage visitors to participate in booth activities, contests, and social media campaigns.
- Answer basic questions about Korea and direct visitors to appropriate information or staff when necessary.
- Assist with booth setup, organization, and cleanup.
- Keep promotional materials and booth areas organized and presentable.
- Help restock brochures, giveaways, and other supplies.
- Support the KTO Canada team with general event activities as needed.
- Follow event, health, safety, and food-handling procedures where applicable.
- Work cooperatively with KTO Canada staff and other volunteers.

Qualifications
- Friendly, approachable, and enthusiastic personality.




- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Comfortable interacting with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Comfortable standing and remaining active during event shifts.
- Professional and positive attitude.
- Interest in Korea, Korean culture, tourism, travel, or international events is an asset.
- Previous volunteer, customer service, event, tourism, or promotional experience is an asset but not required.

Preferred
- Knowledge of Korea and Korean tourism.
- Korean language skills are an asset but not required.
- Experience working at public events or festivals.
- Experience with social media or promotional activities.

Compensation

This is an unpaid volunteer position. No wages or hourly compensation will be provided.

Volunteers are participating on a voluntary basis to support KTO Canada's event activities and gain event and tourism-related experience.

Volunteer shifts and scheduling will be coordinated by the Maizon event team.
