This term position, extending until March 31, 2027, focuses on ensuring crew safety and preparedness while responding to wildfire emergencies. The successful candidate will actively participate in mitigation projects and community education efforts, highlighting teamwork and effective communication with various partners, including BCWS. A commitment to safety and adherence to regulations is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Uphold individual and crew safety protocols
• Maintain training certifications and essential documents
• Collaborate with community partners on fire prevention
• Engage in wildfire-related educational activities
• Ensure equipment readiness for effective response
Requirements:
• Must have a valid driver's license (Class 5 or 7N)
• WorkSafe Basic First Aid certification required
• Experience in outdoor environments essential
• High level of physical fitness necessary
• Proven ability to work under stress
