Glenmore Christian Academy (GCA) is an independent, Alberta accredited Christian school located in the Southwest of Calgary, Alberta, specializing in the education of children in grades K-9. GCA is a member of AISCA (Association of Independent Schools and Colleges in Alberta) as well as ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International). GCA's mission is to Teach Truth, Inspire Excellence, Experience God, and Serve through Love. GCA has a head of school, two principals, three vice principals and a staff of over 125 serving approximately 1000 students.
GCA is currently looking for substitute teachers for the 2026-2027 school year.

The ability to make Biblical values an integral part of school life and integrate them into all subject matter.
Strong understanding of a balanced literacy program.
Clearly defined and well thought out assessment beliefs.




An understanding of brain based learning strategies is considered an asset.
Prepared to work collaboratively with other teachers and support staff as a member of a professional learning community.
Have robust, positive interpersonal skills.
Teach students using lessons, discussions, audio-visual presentations provided by the classroom teacher.
Effective communication skills.
Qualifications Agrees to and adheres to the GCA Statement of Faith - without reservation.
Fluent in English.
Preferred Certifications and Education Bachelor of Education
AB Interim Certificate, AB Letter of Authority or AB Permanent Certificate
