MacEwan University is seeking a Prospective Student & Campus Experience Coordinator for a full-time continuing opportunity with the Office of the University (OUR).
The position plans, coordinates, and delivers on-campus and online engagement activities for prospective students, applicants, and their supporters. Working between off-campus recruitment and campus-based engagement, you will coordinate campus tours, group visits, Student for a Day, Counsellor Update, volunteer Campus Tour Guides, and other approved recruitment and conversion activities. You will also collaborate with internal partners to support a positive prospective student experience and the progression of prospective students from initial interest through application and enrolment.
Key responsibilities include:
Delivering presentations, workshops, and information sessions using approved content that accurately represents University programs, admission processes, student services, and campus experience;
Representing and promoting the University at approved local recruitment, education, school, and community events, as required;
Providing volunteers with instructions, coaching, and feedback on tour delivery, visitor engagement, public speaking, and applicable procedures; referring serious or ongoing concerns to the Manager;
Coordinating logistics for individual and group visits, including itineraries, room bookings, parking, meeting locations, catering, accessibility requirements, and participation by campus partners;
Maintaining current working knowledge of University programs, services, admission requirements, and relevant academic and administrative policies and procedures;
Reviewing practices and trends relevant to campus visits, prospective student engagement, applicant conversion, and communication platforms, and sharing applicable findings with the Manager; and
Evaluating recruitment and conversion initiatives using participation, engagement, and conversion metrics.

Skills
You will have:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to deliver engaging presentations, facilitate group discussions, and communicate effectively with diverse audiences;
A demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate, and deliver multiple events or projects while managing competing priorities and meeting deadlines;
Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, and customer service skills, with the ability to establish effective working relationships with prospective students, volunteers, faculty, staff, and external partners;
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment in a fast-paced environment;
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to identify issues, evaluate options, and implement effective solutions;
The ability to coordinate and provide day-to-day guidance, coaching, and support to volunteer Campus Tour Guides;
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and the ability to learn and effectively use customer relationship management (CRM), communication, and event management systems;
Knowledge of post-secondary admissions processes, student services, and recruitment practices, with an understanding of the prospective student journey;
A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team workplace while building productive relationships across academic and administrative departments;
A demonstrated commitment to providing an exceptional visitor and prospective student experience; and
Adaptability and flexibility to respond effectively to changing priorities, operational needs, and recruitment activities.
Qualifications
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Education, Public Relations, Event Management,
or another related discipline.
A minimum of 2 years of progressively responsible experience in student recruitment, admissions, student services, event coordination, enrolment management, communications, public relations, marketing, or a related field.
Experience coordinating complex events or programs, delivering presentations to diverse audiences, managing multiple competing priorities, collaborating with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, and providing exceptional client service.
Experience in a post-secondary environment, using customer relationship management (CRM) or communication platforms, coordinating volunteer programs, and supporting prospective student recruitment or conversion initiatives would be considered an asset.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
