The Impact You’ll Make:

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist (TAS) forShoppers Drug Mart, youare responsible forattractingcriticalpharmacy talent forstoresin your region(Manitoba,Saskatchewanand Northwest Ontario). You will act as a strategic partner to provide expert guidance and recommendations on talentattractionstrategiesin a highly competitive talent market. In this role, you will continually partner withAssociate Owners, District Managers and other leadersto develop and implement recruitment strategiesas well as represent Shoppers Drug Mart at recruitmenteventsthroughout your designated region.

In addition, the TAS will support store openings and Associate Owner selection in their regionas well as support new capital store staffing.

Talent Attraction - You willidentifyand apply creative sourcing strategies to attract toppharmacytalentfor Shoppers Drug Mart pharmacies. You will develop cost effective, efficient,proactive,and innovative solutions to meetyour Associate Owners’recruiting needs.

CampusRecruitment -You will support campus recruitment strategiesat University of Saskatchewan and University of Manitobato attractpharmacystudents,by collaborating with student associations,planningand leadingcampus events, and developing pipelinesforpharmacy students.In addition, you will support pharmacy students and Associate Owners build a strong talent bench through the Shoppers Drug Mart Scholarship Program.





InternationalHiring -You will manage international recruitment efforts, including candidate sourcing, assessment, and coordination with immigration and licensing partners, to support hiring in hard-to-fill roles.

Relationship Building - You will create and maintain working relationships withStoreResourceTeams,AssociateOwnersand HRBP’sto understand current and future recruitment needs and determine optimum sourcing strategies.

Tracking& Reporting - You will usemultiple tools such asWorkdayto maintain information during the recruitment process; ensuring all information is current and activity is updated on a regular basisto report weekly to regional leaders.

What you bring:

5+years of recruitmentand talent sourcingexperiencewith a strong preference to candidates who havepreviousexperienceworkinginarecruitment agencymodel.

Strong networking skills with the ability to develop quick, meaningful connections with candidates.

Proven experienceidentifyingpassive candidates throughtheirunderstanding oftalentsourcing techniquesbeyond using tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter and Indeed.Experience with strong direct sourcing (headhunting, cold calling, in person).

Solid social media acumen to promote employer brands, recruitment events and career opportunities through multiple social media channels.

Ability to optimally manage a corporate portfolio consisting of 30+vacancies/requisitionsconcurrently.

Exposure to an applicant tracking system (ATS), Workday preferred.

A current driver’s license and a vehiclearerequired.

Ability to travelup to25%of the time.
