Power TakeOff is seeking a Customer Outreach Specialist I to conduct high-volume outbound phone and email outreach to business, institutional and commercial customers with potential energy-saving opportunities. This is a metrics-driven cold outreach role focused on scheduling qualified meetings for our Energy Advisors. Success requires persistence, organization, coachability and genuine interest in helping businesses reduce energy consumption and improve sustainability. Someone who stays motivated when facing rejection, enjoys working toward measurable goals, has robust attention to detail, and is energized by helping customers uncover opportunities to reduce energy use will thrive in this position. The first few weeks of the position will focus on training and you will have ongoing support from your manager and team to help you be successful. As a company, we thrive on coaching and promote growth mindsets to help us view challenges as opportunities. This position will generally work from 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm in their local time zone Monday through Friday.

Position Summary
Join Power TakeOff's innovative Virtual Commissioning® (VCx®) Program as a Customer Outreach Specialist. Through high-volume email and phone calls, identify customer interest and schedule qualified virtual meetings between the customer and a Power TakeOff Energy Advisor, who will further assist the customers to implement energy savings opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
Cold Calling & Customer Management

Conducts high-volume cold phone and email outreach to build a qualified sales pipeline





Participates in contact findings and re-prospecting to maintain a robust pipeline

Builds rapport quickly with prospective customers while effectively handling objections and earning commitment to a meeting

Maintains a positive attitude and persistence despite frequent rejection and challenging conversations

Account Management

Learns how to effectively leverage systems like Outreach.io and Salesforce to keep customer information organized

Develops consistency in follow-ups and keeps thorough notes on status

Demonstrates a strong attention to detail when following team processes

Uses AI and other tools to improve productivity while maintaining accurate, personalized customer communication

Training Program Participation and Knowledge Retention

Participates in in-depth training on outreach competencies and energy efficiency basics

Follows established playbooks and seeks help for issues outside of their experience

Completes accurate documentation and follows program processes consistently

Demonstrates reliable and consistent organization and time management practices

Team Engagement

Partner with internal teams to support one another’s success and customer satisfaction

Participates in team discussions and helps build a positive team environment

Demonstrates reliability and accountability for their work, proactively asking for help

Participates actively in team meetings and discussions

Adapts to change professionally and effectively

Accepts and responds to feedback to support ongoing development and success

Key Qualifications

1+ year of experience in outbound sales development, business development, customer outreach, call center sales or a customer-facing role requiring proactive phone outreach is preferred

Interest in energy efficiency, sustainability, utilities, or helping businesses improve operational performance is strongly preferred

Motivation to engage with prospective customers via cold calls and emails Ability to ask thoughtful questions, address customer concerns, and clearly communicate the value of scheduling a meeting





Ability to use and learn customer relationship management (CRM) systems (e.g. Salesforce, Outreach.io) and other software tools to effectively organize and manage a customer engagement pipeline and support tracking and reporting

Comfort leveraging AI to support workflows

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work in a remote team environment, offering support and willingness to receive and provide feedback to achieve shared goals

Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with customers and colleagues

Consistently positive and professional communications, even under pressure

Effective sales skills and motivation to achieve goals

Self-motivated with a strong work ethic

Excellent organization, record-keeping and time management skills

Bilingual abilities are a plus

Location and Travel
Power TakeOff is a 100% virtual company with no physical office location. While we are a fully remote company, we have hubs in the Denver and Kitchener areas and provide opportunities for our team members in those areas to connect in person from time to time. This position is eligible for employment either in the United States or Canada.

Travel is not expected for this position. Power TakeOff will cover the associated accommodation and travel expenses for any company travel.

Compensation and Benefits
The total expected salary compensation for employees residing in the U.S. is $20.19 per hour ($42,000 USD per year) and 52,200 CAD for employees residing in Canada. This position is also eligible for a performance-based bonus plan.

The pay range for this role is:

42,000 - 42,000 USD per year (Remote (United States))

52,200 - 52,200 CAD per year (Remote (Canada))
