Warehouse & Logistics Coordinator Location: Kingston, ON
Job Type: Full-time
About the Role We are seeking a hands-on and highly organized Warehouse & Logistics Coordinator to support our growing operations team.
This role plays a key part in ensuring inventory accuracy, production support, shipping coordination, equipment readiness, and overall warehouse organization. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy balancing physical work, logistics coordination, and process improvement initiatives.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their day-to-day work and takes pride in keeping operations running smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities Shipping & Receiving Prepare and package products for shipment, ensuring items are secured and protected
Select appropriate shipping methods to ensure safe and efficient delivery
Prepare and maintain shipping documentation
Coordinate shipments with external logistics providers and carriers
Communicate with delivery locations regarding scheduling and site requirements
Receive incoming shipments, verify contents, and report discrepancies
Inventory Management Perform regular and periodic inventory counts
Organize, store, and maintain inventory to ensure accuracy and accessibility
Ensure all materials are properly labeled, protected, and tracked
Production & Manufacturing Assist with general production and assembly tasks as required
Operate basic equipment or tools in support of production activities
Update and maintain production schedules or tracking systems
Ensure production work is completed accurately and within deadlines
Administrative & Coordination Maintain tracking systems for orders, shipments, and materials
Update records with shipping details, tracking information, and receipts
Prepare, organize, and store operational documentation
Ensure accurate data entry and recordkeeping
Warehouse & Tools Management Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
Perform routine housekeeping duties (e.g., sweeping, waste disposal)
Ensure tools and equipment are returned, stored properly, and kept in good condition
Preventive Maintenance Perform basic cleaning and upkeep of warehouse equipment
Conduct routine checks and minor servicing of tools and machinery
Coordinate repairs and preventive maintenance for key equipment
Ensure equipment is protected and operational at all times
Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities to improve warehouse organization, inventory control, shipping processes, and operational efficiency
Recommend and implement practical process improvements that support productivity, accuracy, and business growth
Contribute ideas that enhance safety, organization, and overall operational effectiveness
Field Work (Occasional) Support off-site activities when required
Assist with deliveries, unloading, setup, or on-site coordination
What Success Looks Like Warehouse is clean, organized, and efficient
Inventory is accurate and easy to manage
Production tasks are completed on time and meet quality standards
Orders are shipped correctly, on time, and without damage
Shipping costs are controlled and processes continuously improve
Qualifications Experience in warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, production, or operations environments preferred
Experience with packaging, shipping coordination, inventory management, or freight logistics
Forklift certification considered an asset (training may be provided)
Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools and equipment
Experience using inventory management, ERP, or warehouse tracking systems is considered an asset
Strong organization and time management skills
Attention to detail and ability to follow established processes
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office or similar software)
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Valid G Driver's Licence and reliable transportation preferred
Working Conditions Combination of warehouse, shop, office, and occasional off-site work
Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and move throughout the workday
Comfortable working in a warehouse and light manufacturing environment
Interaction with internal team members, suppliers, carriers, and customers
