We are looking for a reliable Tile Setter for residential bathrooms, kitchens and floors.

Pay: $28/hr to start (depending on speed/quality, room to grow to $32)

Schedule: Full-time, 40h/week, Monday-Friday

Location: Jobs in Greater Montreal area and surrounding areas.

Duties

- Measure and mark surfaces to be tiled and calculate the number of tiles needed
- Prepare surfaces by removing old tiles, grout, or adhesive
- Mix and apply mortar or other adhesives to secure tiles in place
- Cut tiles to fit around obstacles and create decorative patterns
- Align and straighten tiles using levels, squares, and straightedges
- Apply grout between tiles and remove excess grout for a clean finish
- Install tile trim and edge pieces for a polished look
- Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and work area

Skills:
- Proficient in tile laying techniques and methods




- Knowledge of various hand tools used in tile installation
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
- Experience in caulking and sealing tile installations
- Solid carpentry skills for building or repairing subfloors or walls
- Familiarity with different types of flooring installation techniques
- General maintenance person skills for minor repairs or adjustments

Experience:
- flooring installation: 1 year (preferred)
