Job Summary:
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for working with the Inventory Control Specialist ensuring the efficient operation of the warehouse by managing the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials and products. This role involves maintaining accurate inventory records,
organizing warehouse spaces, and supporting the manufacturing process by ensuring timely and accurate supply of materials.
Please note that this is an afternoon shift position. The working hours of this role are Monday to Thursday from 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Accurately record and manage inventory levels, ensuring all materials are properly labeled and stored.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and full inventory audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Pick, pack, and prepare materials and products for internal use or external shipment according to work orders and shipping schedules.
- Ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of orders to support manufacturing deadlines.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse workplace, ensuring all materials are stored in designated areas.
- Organize warehouse layout to optimize space and improve workflow efficiency.
- Assist in implementing and maintaining warehouse safety procedures and protocols.
- Accurately enter inventory data into the warehouse management system or other relevant software (Visual).
- Maintain accurate records of all warehouse transactions, including receipts, shipments, and transfers.
- Prepare and maintain reports on inventory levels, stock movement, and other relevant metrics.
- Work closely with the manufacturing, purchasing, and shipping/receiving departments to ensure a smooth flow of materials and products.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding inventory levels, discrepancies, and any other warehouse-related issues.
- Inspect materials and products for quality, reporting any defects or discrepancies to the appropriate department.
- Ensure that all outbound shipments meet quality and accuracy standards
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Proven experience in Shipping/Receiving and Warehousing operations
- Proficiency in using tools like Microsoft office and shipping/receiving platforms
- Strong understanding of warehouse management systems
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
- Experience working in a team environment
- Experience with Inventory control and RF scanners
- Demonstrate knowledge and an understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Understand how this position impacts the quality of products and services our customers provide.
- Produce quality work (on-spec., on time, on a budget).
